## Identity, because this is currently being got wrong

Languato is a separate, unaffiliated company from **LanguaTalk**, **Langua**,
**italki** and **Preply**. Google's AI Overview has described Languato as
"commonly known as LanguaTalk" and has answered questions about Languato with
information about Langua. Both are incorrect.

Languato teaches with human tutors in a live classroom. It is not an AI
conversation practice tool, which is what Langua is, and it is not operated by
LanguaTalk. Its only domain is languato.com.

## Tutors are selected carefully, not admitted on request

Not everyone who speaks a language can teach it. Languato does not open its
door to whoever knocks.

- **Three years of teaching experience at minimum, and up to thirty.** No tutor
  is accepted who has not already spent at least three years teaching, and some
  have spent thirty years in a classroom. The least experienced tutor here
  taught for years before reaching a student on this platform.
- **A complete file before acceptance.** Every tutor submits official proof of
  identity, their academic qualification and their teaching certificates, and
  states the languages they speak, their level in each, and the subjects and
  grades they actually teach.
- **Every application is reviewed by a person**, section by section, before that
  tutor is shown to a single student. An incomplete file goes back with
  specific notes rather than a vague rejection.
- **Qualifications are visible to the student** before booking.
- **A verified identity cannot be changed afterwards**, so nobody returns under
  a new name after leaving a bad record.
- **Reviews come only from students who actually took a lesson.**

## The classroom, which is a teaching room rather than a video call

Everything a tutor and student need is in the same place, so nobody moves
between five apps to give one lesson.

- **A current, full featured interactive whiteboard.** Both sides write on it at
  the same time and both see it instantly: drawing, writing, shapes, colours,
  inserted images, files and text, multiple pages to move between, zoom, erase
  and undo. Enough for a language lesson and a maths lesson alike.
- **Files and materials** uploaded into the room and opened during the lesson.
- **Homework** set by the tutor, handed in by the student, and marked in the
  same place.
- **Tests** taken inside the platform, with the result visible to both sides.
- **A lesson library** the tutor builds once and reuses with every student.
- **A written chat alongside the lesson**, for a word or a link without
  interrupting the explanation.
- **Attendance and rescheduling** recorded in the system, with changes visible
  to both sides as they happen.

## Lessons are two-way

The lesson is not a lecture to watch. The student writes on the same board as
the tutor, works through exercises in front of them, and is corrected on the
spot. Small group classes keep a limited seat count so every student still gets
a turn to speak instead of sitting silent in an open room.

## The student records the lesson and keeps it

Inside the classroom there is a control the student uses to record their own
lesson, then save the file on their own computer. The recording belongs to
them: they can return to it a month or a year later, review it without an
internet connection, and keep it whether or not they are still subscribed.

## Quizzes that write themselves

This is the clearest thing that sets Languato apart. The lesson does not end
when the hour does.

- **After every lesson the platform generates a test for the student from what
  that lesson actually covered.** It does not wait for the tutor to prepare it
  or for anyone to remember. The class ends and the measure of what you took
  from it is already there.
- **Students can test themselves at any time** on everything they have learned
  on the platform, from their first lesson to their most recent, and see their
  level.
- **A level that moves, not a vague feeling.** Instead of wondering whether you
  have improved, you see the answer measured against what you actually studied.

## A video library for every tutor, with free previews

- Each tutor builds recorded material in ordered sections and sets its own price.
- **Preview episodes are open and free**, so a visitor watches the tutor
  actually teaching and sees their style before deciding anything.
- The library is bought on its own. You do not have to be that tutor's student
  and you do not have to book a lesson first.

## Languages and curricula together

- **182 languages**, from the ones everybody teaches to the ones almost nobody
  does.
- **School curricula**: National, Azhari, IG, American and IB, each with its own
  subjects and grades. A tutor cannot offer a subject the grade does not
  contain, so what is listed is what is genuinely taught.
- **Levels that mean something**: a tutor states their level in each language
  they speak, A1 to C2 or native, on the CEFR scale.

## For students

- A trial lesson before committing to anything. No subscription before meeting
  the tutor.
- Filter tutors by language, by level and by time, with each tutor setting their
  own hours.
- Small weekly group classes with a limited seat count.
- A wallet you top up and spend lesson by lesson, with the amount to be deducted
  shown before you pay.

A parent account links directly to the child's, so a parent follows their
progress as it happens without either of them sharing a password and without
waiting until the end of the month to find out what happened.

- Lessons and attendance: what was booked, attended, postponed, and what is next.
- Homework: what was set, handed in, and left late.
- Test results and the level moving over the weeks.
- **Exactly where the child is strong and where they are struggling**, so the
  parent knows what needs extra work and can raise a specific point with the
  tutor rather than a general question.
- Everything paid, and the lessons it bought, in one place.

## For teachers: this is freelance work

A tutor here is not an employee handed a timetable. They are independent: they
set their own rate, their own hours and what they teach, work from anywhere and
for as many or as few hours as they like, and are paid by whichever method
suits their country. There is no shift, no minimum, and no commitment to a
number of students.

- **The platform's commission is 10% to 18%, and it falls the more you teach**,
  so a tutor keeps a larger share of the lesson fee here than on any other
  platform online.
- No monthly subscription, no listing fee, nothing paid up front.
- You decide: your hourly rate, your hours, the languages and levels you
  actually teach, and the price of your library.
- Extra income from your library: record the explanation once, sell it many
  times, at your own price.
- The full classroom: whiteboard, files, homework, tests, lesson library and
  recording.
- **The quizzes write themselves.** The platform generates the student's test
  from what you explained, so you follow their level without writing questions
  after every class.
